Dr. Hinds moved to Williamson County in 2006 to start his OB/GYN practice. In the last four years he has delivered over 2,000 babies and maintained a busy surgical practice. He enjoys all aspects of obstetrics, from pre-conceptual counseling through delivery of the baby. On the gynecologic side, his practice focuses on the minimally invasive techniques of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, allowing his patients to recover more quickly and resume their normal activities. Dr. Hinds was one of the first physicians recruited to be clinical faculty by the Texas A&M University Medical School.
He particularly enjoys his time with the medical students, both in the clinical setting and during small group lectures. An Honors graduate of the U.T. Health Science Center at Houston, he completed both his medical school and residency training under some of the foremost leaders in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.Dr. Hinds and his wife Elizabeth have three sons, Will (age 4) Grant (age 2) and Oliver (7 months-born at Cedar Park
Regional!). They reside in Georgetown and enjoy spending time together with family and friends. They feel blessed to be able to work and live in this area.

John Thoppil, M.D.
Dr. John Thoppil grew up in Killeen, TX, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M and then made the short trip to Houston to complete medical school at the renown Baylor College of Medicine. Dr.Thoppil completed his ob/gyn residency at the Air Force’s flagship medical center, Wilford Hall, located in San Antonio.
He has won numerous awards including the Houston Ob/Gyn Society Student of the Year, Wilford Hall Academic Award (3 times) and the Air Force Surgeon General Award. He is most proud of his patient driven awards including the Nellis Air Force Base Provider of the Quarter and the 2010 “Patient’s Choice Award” given by Vitals.com. He is actively involved in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and was voted by his peers the Section Vice-Chair. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and also is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University’s College of Medicine. On a personal note, Dr. John Thoppil is married to Dr. Nimmi Thoppil (pediatrics), and they have a beautiful baby boy, John Jr. In his free time (what little there is) he enjoys playing golf, reading and spending time with friends and family.
